Hello everyone, I wanted to check in with you and let you know that I’m doing okay, I made it to Uganda. I made a video tour of part of the compound, see the video below, for those of you who would like to see where we are serving at now.

I would love to tell you my flight was uneventful but it was late. Nothing bad happened just everything was delayed. It was late coming out of Chicago, late out of Brussels, but I actually arrived only about 30 minutes late in the end. Not all of my luggage made it on the flight but I do have it all now. I’m very thankful for Steven, Nimeri, and Carol who came to pick me up from the airport. We got to the compound in Jinja about 3:30 in the morning on Friday.

I have been adjusting to the new time. It is Thursday morning right now when I’m recording the video, but where I’m from it is the middle of the night. God will take care of this and I will be adjusted soon to the new time.

This week I’ve been greeting everyone that I haven’t seen in awhile. We’ve been starting to work on more specific scheduling for the school of ministry, which will be starting August 2nd. If you guys could be praying about that as we get our ducks in a row to make some more disciples that can make disciples.

One update on a ministry I wanted to give you this week… I spoke with Timothy, he teaches at the prisons, and he tells me that he’s been going to Remand Prison which is where they hold people who are awaiting trial. He says more and more people come to the Bible study every week and there’s a bunch of people who want to get baptized. A bunch like 200. So they are trying to set up baptisms now for those men. Please be praying for that and give a big welcome to these new members of the family.

I’ll give you updates on more ministries in the next few weeks. Until then, thank you for praying and coming on this journey with me. I’ll talk to you next week.

Blessings,

Deb
